Bérénice Auger

Bérénice Auger is a multidisciplinary artist based in Lévis, Québec. From a family of artists and craftspeople, she was introduced to art in all its forms from childhood: art history, music, drawing, painting and woodworking. Raised in nature and shaped by eco-responsible values and a deep respect for the natural world, she developed an early sensitivity to materials and her environment. This rich visual, cultural and human heritage profoundly shaped her artistic practice. Throughout her journey, she nurtured her sensibility through courses in visual arts, drama and painting, while cultivating a self-taught approach grounded in experimentation, curiosity and continuous learning. In 2021, she founded Créations Bérénice, a venture uniting wood, art and creation, exploring the crossroads between visual arts and craft. This path led her to participate in various markets and events, including the Salon international de la femme in Québec City in 2024.

In 2025, securing her first solo exhibition at the Galerie d'Art des Deux-Ponts for December 2026 marked a turning point: Bérénice Auger now focuses her practice on developing a professional artistic approach, refining her series, her workshops and her vision — where art takes centre stage. She works with painting on recycled wood and canvas, pyrography and sculpture. Her practice revolves around two complementary series, one on recycled wood, the other on canvas, both rooted in the same conviction: seeing hidden potential, whether in matter or in oneself. That same year, she completed a certification as an art therapy practitioner, which she integrates into workshops focused on well-being and personal expression through art. She took part in the creation of the project La voix des femmes dans l'art, de l'ombre à la lumière, giving a workshop and speaking at the closing event to encourage women to dare to shine. The Galerie d'Art des Deux-Ponts also entrusted her with the mandate of reaching an 18-to-35 audience: she designed a wood painting workshop tailored to this clientele and created the social media content to promote it. The workshop sold out. These experiences, as diverse as they are complementary, have led her to clarify her vision and affirm her place in the artistic community.

Since 2025, she has been a member of the Association des artistes de la Rive-Sud. In 2026, she joined the Groupe Cultur'Art de Lévis, where she is actively involved: she took part in Artiste en action on July 1st, creating live throughout the day, and gave artistic workshops over the summer. She then undertook an artist residency in September and participated in the Rallye Cultur'Art in October. That same year, one of her works was selected for a collective exhibition by the Association des artistes de la Rive-Sud, scheduled for the fall. Doors continue to open. Driven by a growing artistic ambition, Bérénice Auger is working to extend her presence beyond borders and let her art shine both here and internationally.
