Wood as language, the feather as symbol
The Plumes Series was born from a fascination with lightness within heavy matter. How can wood · dense, solid, grounded · become a feather? This is the paradox Bérénice explores, piece by piece.
Each sculpture is carved from recycled wood, often recovered from construction sites or found in forests. The process is long, meditative: carve, sand, paint, begin again. Until the feather appears within the matter.

Wood laden with history
Bérénice brings out the potential of recovered and upcycled materials, particularly wood, which she sculpts, pyrographs and paints with an intuitive approach. Each fragment, laden with history and energy, becomes the starting point of a unique work. Through this creative gesture, the artist invites us to contemplate the beauty of authenticity and the power of transformation, reminding us that even what seemed forgotten can be reborn in light.
